African Leafy Vegetables

Vegetable crop value chains involves the following main groups i.e., vegetable production, transportation, and distribution, retailing or trading of vegetables, vegetable processing and value addition, exporting of vegetables, and vegetable products input suppliers. The value additions will include dried, dehydrated, frozen, preserved, juices, and pulps, frozen vegetable, dehydrated cabbage factories etc. Examples of African leafy vegetables include okra, African Nightshade (managu), and amaranthus (terere) among other popular traditional vegetables.

Exotic Vegetables

Vegetable crop value chains involves the following main groups i.e., vegetable production, transportation, and distribution, retailing or trading of vegetables, vegetable processing and value addition, exporting of vegetables, and vegetable products input suppliers. The value additions will include dried, dehydrated, frozen, preserved, juices, and pulps, frozen vegetable, dehydrated cabbage factories etc. Examples of exotic vegetables include tomatoes, kales, onion, spinach, cabbages, and coriander (‘dania’).

Dairy Goat

The value chain includes all the dairy activities and actors for both cows and goats, from production to consumption. It will include farm input suppliers (feed production and other inputs), Milk producers, milk processing and value addition, dairy products retailing and wholesaling, dairy products exporting, dairy products consumption. It will include dairy cow and goat farmers, dairy feed manufacturing and retail, all the way to retailing and consumption.
